Senior police officers transferred to inactive posts after pub raid

BANGKOK, April 3 (TNA) - Four high-ranking police officers attached to Phasi Charoen police station have been temporarily transferred to inactive posts after last night’s raid on a pub in their area. The raid by officials found illegal drug and young customers and the pub was also charged with opening during late hours. Pol Maj Gen Jeeraphat Phumjit, commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s division 9, ordered the transfers of four senior officers to the operations center of the Metropolitan Police Division 9 for 30 days pending an investigation. A fact-finding committee has been set up for the investigation. (TNA)
