CHIANG RAI, THAILAND, October 22 (TNA) - Several Thai provinces have announced events and activities marking this year’s high tourism season, aimed to draw in international visitors into their areas. In Chiang Rai Province in the Thai North, for instance, the Mayor of the Nakhon Chiang Rai Municipality held a press conference on Tuesday to announce tourism programs during the high-season in his province, including the “Loy Krathong Celebration for four Nations” to be held at Suan Tung Lae Khom Chiang Rai Park from November 15-18 and the Chiang Rai Flower Festival from December 20, 2013 to January 20, 2014. The mayor estimated that over 500,000 international tourists should visit Chiang Rai during the winter this year.
