Shabaviz to send books to Portuguese illustration competition

TEHRAN,Sept.21(MNA) – Shabaviz, a leading Iranian publisher of children’s books, plans to send a collection of its books to the Ilustrarte 2014, a book illustration competition in Lisbon, Portugal. Thirty books illustrated by 30 Iranian artists will be competing in the event, Shabaviz Managing Director Farideh Khalatbari told the Persian service of MNA on Wednesday. “The relationship between text and illustration is important in this biennial so we will send a synopsis of the stories with the books to the exhibition,” she added. The Ilustrarte 2014 competition is a part of the 6th Biennial International Exhibition of Children’s Book Illustration of Lisbon. The top winner of the competition will be awarded the Ilustrarte 5000-Euro cash prize on the opening night of the biennial in January 2014. The biennial will be held at the Museum of Electricity in Lisbon from January to April 2014.
