Sharjah Ruler lays foundation memorial stone in Khor Fakkan

Sharjah, 21 January 2015 (WAM): H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has laid the foundation stone of the memorial building in the shape of a helmet to symbolise the resistance in Khor Fakkan city. Cheerful people welcomed the event attended by key officials and dignitaries. Upon his arrival at the mountain top at the entry of the city, where the memorial will be built, Sheikh Sultan was received by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, deputy chairman of the Ruler's office in Khor Fakkan, and a number of senior officials. Sheikh Sultan said, "It is a blessing day to lay the foundation stone of this beautiful building at the entrance of the city to tell the history of this city to the whole world. This building will include a park for those who come to Khor Fakkan seeking pleasure.
