Sheikh Eid Charity Raises QR 20 Million through its Gaza Campaign

Doha, August 30 (QNA) - Sheikh Eid Charity has collected QR 20 million through its Gaza fund-raising campaign, which was launched two days ago.     Eid Charity's acting director general Miteb Al Marri said since the launch of the campaign the charity has collected a total of QR 20 million. The fund-raising campaign is still going on to receive donations and contributions, he added.     Al Marri added that the Palestinian issue was at the heart of the humanitarian activities undertaken by the State of Qatar and the Sheikh Eid Charity which has carried out 740 projects in Palestine since 2007 at a cost of QR 245 million, including 95 million targeting projects for orphans to benefit 9246 families and orphans monthly.     He added that the Sheikh Eid Charity began its initiative since the first day of the Israeli aggression on the people of Gaza to provide them with relief, food and medical aid and initiated emergency relief worth QR 1 million for their support to assist 5,000 affected families.
