SHIVEE OVOO TO COOPERATE WITH GERMAN WIRTGEN GROUP

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Wirtgen Group of Germany, Shivee Ovoo JSC and JMC Group of Mongolia Thursday agreed to jointly study possibilities to introduce coal detailed exploration technology. The trilateral agreement came about during "Coal Mongolia-2014" international conference in Ulaanbaatar. Under this agreement, Wirtgen Group’s Surface Miner 2200 (SM 2200) machinery will be tested in the mine fields of Shivee Ovoo. The test will take place in a mine mouth that has notoriously tough working conditions due to its multi-level mining surfaces. Before this testing, JMC and Wirtgen had conducted a detailed survey on coal exploration conditions and manufacturing costs of Shivee Ovoo. Discussing results of the survey, Shivee Ovoo considered Wirtgen’s detailed exploration technology as favourable, and agreed to run a test-driving in their mine fields. If the test proves to be effective, Shivee Ovoo will introduce this German technology with a hope for reduced manufacturing costs and improved coal production quality.
