Shura Council condemns Karranah terror blast

Manama, Aug. 29 9BNA): The Shura Council condemned the cowardly terror blast which happened in Karranah village yesterday evening and resulted in the death of an on-duty policeman and the injury of four others as well as other civilians after two hand-made bombs had been remotely detonated. The council voiced categorical rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism which aim to shake up the kingdom’s security and jeopardise people’s safety. It extended heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and the Interior Ministry’s personnel, praying to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the martyr in eternal peace and paradise and bless his family with patience and consolation and wishing the injured a speedy recovery. The Shura Council affirmed that those terror acts emanate from a destructive and extremist ideology which is alien to the peaceful Bahraini community, noting that the subversive attempts, backed from abroad, will never succeed in driving wedges among the Bahraini people or undermine national stability thanks to unity of the Bahraini people and their loyalty to the leadership. The council commended vigilance of the security bodies which managed to arrest a number of suspects, stressing support to all measures taken against the perpetrators, plotters and instigators of the criminal act.
