Shura Council hails press, media freedom in Bahrain

Manama, May 6 (BNA): The Shura Council lauded Bahrain's press and media freedom achievements. In a statement issued today marking Bahrain Press Day, on May 7, the council commended press and media freedom in Bahrain, being a pillar of the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. It also praised the efforts of the press and media staff in disclosing news transparently and credibly, pointing out the great competence of the local press in highlighting national achievements and Bahrain's open and democratic climate.
