Shura Council pays tribute to Bahraini doctors

Manama, Nov. 4 (BNA): The Shura Council has expressed deep pride in His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s great support for Bahraini doctors. It also valued highly the efforts being exerted by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to ensure the sustainability of high-quality and efficient medical and health services delivered by Bahraini doctors. In a statement marking the Bahraini Doctor’s Day, marked on the first Wednesday of November every year, the Shura Council lauded the sense of responsibility and dedication of the kingdom’s medical and nursing staff. The Shura Council took pride in the efforts made by the doctors and nurses at the front line of the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to protect the health and safety of the citizens and residents, praising their expertise, competence, experience and keenness to develop the health care system in the kingdom. The Council lauded the interest of the government in the health sector and Bahraini physicians, as well as its support for all strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing the health and treatment services. The Shura Council praised the “Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for Bahraini Doctor”, launched to honour outstanding doctors in the medical research and treatment, noting that it is a source of pride for Bahraini doctors. The Council extended congratulations to the winners of this year’s “Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for Bahraini Doctor”, and all doctors in Bahrain, appreciating the tremendous efforts they are making in order to assume their humanitarian mission.
