Shuttle bus service between Thai airports gets new look

BANGKOK, November 2 (TNA) - After its 13-month initial operation, the shuttle bus service between Thailand's two main airports, the Don Mueang Airport and the Suvarnabhumi International Airport, has launched a new look with more comfortable seats for the elderly and pregnant women. Rawewan Netrakavesna, Director of the Suvarnabhumi International Airport, under Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), told journalists on Saturday that, starting from November 1, 2013, the shuttle bus service between the two major Thai airports has provided international passengers with large buses powered by natural gas for vehicles (NGV), instead of air-conditioned buses owned by the state-run Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA). Rawewan said special seats have also been arranged for the elderly, monks and pregnant women, while spacious space has been available for luggage. According to the director, the inter-airport shuttle bus service will travel between the Motorway and Don Mueang Tollway and will not pick up passengers along the route. (TNA)
