Silatech Appoints HE Sheikha Al Anoud As Its Representative in Qatar

Doha, April 07 (QNA) -Silatech on Monday announced the appointment of HE Sheikha Al Anoud Bint Hamad Al Thani as its reopresentative in Qatar . Through her post, HE Sheikha Al Anoud will support and supervise the silatech programmes and operations , as a step to further enhance her support to the young people in the country in a better and large way. Silatech is a dynamic social initiative based in Qatar and works to create jobs and expand economic opportunities for young people throughout the Arab world. We promote large-scale job creation, entrepreneurship, access to capital and markets, and the participation and engagement of young people in economic and social development. Founded in 2008 by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, we find innovative solutions to challenging problems, working with a wide spectrum of NGOs, governments and the private sector to foster sustainable, positive change for Arab youth. Between 2008 and January 2012, Silatech claims to have helped 25,000 young Arabs get jobs. The initiatives model involves building partnerships with governments, private companies and NGOs. Silatech is supported by the United Nations, the International Labor Organization, and the World Bank. (QNA)
