Singapore top envoy meets Thai DPM

BANGKOK, October 15 (TNA) - Singapore Ambassador to Thailand Chua Siew San paid a courtesy call on Thai Deputy Prime Minister MR Pridiyathorn Devakula, who supervises economic affairs, at Bangkok's Government House on Wednesday to discuss relations and economic issues. After the meeting, MR Pridiyathorn told journalists that the Singapore top envoy inquired about the Thai government's economic measures and readiness. The deputy prime minister said he informed the Singapore top envoy that the interim Thai government is restructuring taxes and oil prices to lower Thailand's high fuel consumption. The deputy prime minister revealed that he also informed the Singapore ambassador of new infrastructure development projects in Thailand, including those on double rail tracks. (TNA)
