Skolkovo school to launch education campaign for China co-operation - PM Medvedev

MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. A business school near Moscow, judged a unique location already uniting managers of leading Russian companies, entrepreneurs, state officials and foreign experts, plans to launch a pioneering educational campaign aimed at developing skills needed to build future partnerships with China. The project will be launched in December at Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, rated one of the leading private business schools in Russia and former Soviet states. Plans were outlined by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, opening a meeting of the school’s supervisory board on Tuesday. This will "allow obtaining new skills and knowledge for developing strategy for work on the Chinese market," he said. Over the past nine years, some 12,000 people have studied at the school, 3,000 under tuition last year and of whom more than half work for major Russian and international companies. In another initiative, the school is partnering the International Labour Organization to launch a project defining future demands for vocational, craft-based employment, Medvedev said. This had been "highly praised by international experts" and would be set up to train heads of colleges in Latin America and East Asia, he added. Read more
