Slovakia might cooperate in city's public transport

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mayor of the capital city E.Bat-Uul September 24 received Mr Pavol Pavlis, a State Secretary of Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. The sides shared views on a cooperation development in all spheres and directions between Bratislava and Ulaanbaatar. The UB city is interested in collaborating with Slovakia in infrastructure, particularly in public transport, through implementing programs and projects, and is aiming to put nature-friendly electric vehicles on the city roads, said Mr Bat-Uul. "We want to get rid of diesel vehicles in public transport, replacing them with electric ones, and would like to buy them from Slovakia", he added. In response, Mr Pavlis said his country has highly developed the information and technology sector, "and we can give Ulaanbaatar a related non-refundable aid." He also said the PM of Slovakia will visit Ulaanbaatar next year to sign an agreement on mutual promotion of investments, and invited the Mongolian officials to Slovakia to discuss a joint project in detail.
