"SMART GOVERNANCE" PROJECT TO BE IMPLEMENTED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet Monday decided to submit to parliament a bill on ratifying a credit agreement for the "Smart governance" project, established between the government of Mongolia and the International Development Association (IDA) at the World Bank (WB). In order to develop both the E-governance and the infrastructure, the government set goals to boost IT system, transfer the governmental information into electronic system, deliver state services to people through electronic devices, and to minimize equality of people’s usage of IT. The project will be implemented with a soft loan of USD 19.4 million from the IDA in a period of 2015-2020. As expected, the project will reduce cost of state services and will increase the investment benefits for governmental actions and progressive technologies. Moreover, it will help expand the adequacy of state services and make them quicker and more reliable.
