Smuggled goods seized in Thai Far South

NARATHIWAT, THAILAND, January 18 (TNA) - Security officers, comprising soldiers and police, have seized several smuggled goods in Su-ngai Golok of Narathiwat Province in the Thai Far South, worth over 2 million baht. The security officers, led by Commander of Naratiwat's Special Unit 36 Lieutenant Colonel Noppadol Phakaphol, raided three warehouses in Su-ngai Golok on January 17 and seized the smuggled products. They included palm oil, sarongs, firecrackers, onions, diapers and even two pickup trucks, along with a list of customers, a .38 handgun and 31 bullets. The security officers said the seized items are believed to have been smuggled from neighbouring Malaysia. (TNA)
