SOCIAL PROTECTION MINISTER AT "11 11" CENTER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Population Development and Social Protection Minister S.Erdene worked at the Government’s "‘11 11" center on Wednesday. Through several channels the Minister briefed on projects to be carried out by his Ministry this year. He said it has been planned to build six "Children development and protection" centers in Ulaanbaatar under a funding saved from children welfare money, granted by the Government. A total sum of the financing stands at 5.4 billion togrog put aside from the children welfare money of the last year. Main activities of these center are to be protection and advocacy of rights of children with disabilities and their families. The centers' staffers, including social workers and teachers, will get involved in related trainings abroad, he added. The Minister also promised to implement required activities and projects aimed at children with disabilities, beginning with some changes in terminology being used.
