Softbank's Son Meets Saudi King, Vows IT Invesment

Tokyo, March 14 (Jiji Press)--Softbank Group Corp. <9984> Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Masayoshi Son met with Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud in Tokyo Tuesday and vowed to help the Persian Gulf state exit from an oil-dependent economy by investing in the information technology sector. Speaking to reporters after the 25-minute meeting, Son said he conveyed to the king his readiness to contribute to Saudi Arabia's prosperity through investment.
