Songkhla promotes tourism throughout 2016

SONGKHLA, Nov 22 (TNA) - In an attempt to generate revenue from tourism business, Songkhla province bordering Malaysia has come up with a programme called ‘Songkhla Big Fun’ which would attract visitors to tour the province throughout 2016. The provincial governor Songpol Sawasthum said several tourism networks have jointly launched public relation campaigns and marketing offensive programmes which are expected to complete next month. He said under the promotional campaigns the old section of Songkhla would be developed and become a “perfect street art” which could organise festivities throughout the year. The campaigns also called for a development of Kao Seng Market into a hygienic seafood market and to also develop an area atop Khao Wat Kao Saen to enable tourists to view the sun rises most beautifully in the South. Songkhla authorities have earlier prepared three points for street art which received recognition from visitors and are now laying electric cables underground to beautify the old section of the resort province.
