Southern Governor receives Japanese ambassador

Manama, May 30 (BNA): Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received today newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Hideki Ito. He discussed with him bilateral cooperation, lauding growing relations between both countries in various fields.  The Southern Governor wished the Japanese ambassador every success in his diplomatic duties and reviewed with him ways of boosting coordination to hold cultural events in the Southern Governorate. He also voiced the governorate’s plan to use the Japanese language in its official website and publications to enable the Japanese people to learn about the history, culture and activities of the Southern Governorate. The Japanese ambassador praised strong bilateral relations, stressing his country’s keenness on promoting cooperation with Bahrain in various fields. He also lauded the development strides in the Southern Governorate, commending the initiatives of the Southern Governor to further enhance the Bahraini-Japanese relations.
