Speaker attends Azeri celebration

Baku, Sept. 21(BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mullah paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, for launching the reform project, which yielded landmark achievements and bolstered the democratic process and the march of national work over the past 16 years. The Speaker hailed HM the King’s farsighted vision as he attended a ceremony, which was hosted by the Azeri Parliament in Baku, marking its centenary. The celebratory event was held under the patronage of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Chairman MP Abdulrahman Bouali and Human Rights Committee Chairman Abdulrahman Boumajid attended the event. The Speaker conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, wishing his country and people further progress and prosperity. Addressing the ceremony, the Speaker stressed Bahrain’s keenness on bolstering relations with Azerbaijan and intensifying exchanged visits.
