Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla has condemned the terror blast which occurred in the village of Karranah on Friday, and resulted in the martyrdom of a policeman, and the injury of several security personnel, citizens and children. The speaker reiterated the Council of Representatives’ support to all measures taken by the kingdom to combat terrorism, and readiness to discuss legislation and laws that are necessary to maintain national security and protect gains and lives. He offered profound condolences to the relatives of the martyr of national duty, wishing the wounded quick recovery. He pointed out that the targeting of the security personnel, the citizens and children is a dangerous development that puts the safety of the Bahraini society and its social fabric at risk, and will be confronted and eliminated using all legal means and measures. Al-Mulla affirmed that the parliamentary delegation currently participating in the Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, held at United Nations Headquarters in New York, will press for global parliamentary stances against terrorism and foreign sides’ interference in the local affairs of countries through supporting terror groups, sparking problems and inciting sedition to serve well-known agendas. The speaker underlined his full confidence in the ability of the Interior Ministry’s personnel and the security authorities to arrest the perpetrators and those who support them and bring them to justice.
