Speaker lauds Arab Parliament's statement against Iran's interference

Manama, Oct. 9 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla has lauded the statement issued by the Arab Parliament in which it denounced and reject Iran’s repeated attempts to interfere in Bahrain’s domestic affairs and put its security and stability at risk. Al-Mulla lauded the crucial and pivotal role played by the Arab Parliament, under the chairmanship of Ahmed Al-Jarwan, in supporting the kingdom’s legitimate right to face all attempts to interfere in its domestic affairs, rejecting all heinous acts orchestrated by some parties against it, and backing its full right to defend itself using legal and political means so as to safeguard its sovereignty and national security. The Representatives Council Speaker praised the clear role played by the members of the Arab Parliament in protecting the security and stability of the countries of the region, and their unwavering efforts to counter extremism and terrorism and reject all provocative and subversive acts aimed at destabilising the region. It is worth noting that the Arab Parliament issued, during its fourth session of its first legislative term held at the Tunisian People’s Representatives Council, a statement against Iran’s blatant interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
