Speaker visits Toyota Mirai exhibition hall

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Chairman of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold legged the Toyota Exhibition Hall in Tokyo on February 26. Toyota introduced him the “Mirai”, a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, and its gas station. The automobile’s name means “future” in Japanese. The hydrogen cars are unveiled and began to be sold commercially on December of 2014. What makes a hydrogen car possible is a device called a fuel cell, which converts hydrogen to electricity, giving off only heat and water as byproducts. Therefore this non-polluting hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle may become the ideal eco-friendly transportation device. The international public experts assumed that the cost of producing a single vehicle will amount to one million US dollars, however, the assumption has been denied by Toyota Corporation, claiming to commercialize its product at 7.2 million JPY. The Japanese government plans to support the commercialization of fuel-cell vehicles with a certain amount of subsidy. Thus, Toyota Corporation is commencing the framework of commercializing the hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles for public use, making great contribution to the fight against the global warming. Mirai car is barely audible when moving, like any other electric fueled car, and is capable of cruising 600 kilometers with one charge of hydrogen fuel, which charge is executed only within three minutes, told the Toyota staff to the Speaker.
