SRT improves digital services

BANGKOK, December 6 (TNA) - The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has publicly launched its improved digital information services as of December 5, 2018. SRT Acting Governor Worawut Mala told journalists the SRT upgraded digital services include a triocular language-application that can be downloaded on people's smart phones through the Play Store, the App Store or the QR Code, or on their desktop computers or on tablets, comprising of the Thai, the Chinese Mandarin and the English languages, as well as the more integrated content on its official website, [http://railway.co.th]. "Passengers can now easily access to the SRT's triocular language application on either their smart phones, desktop computers or tablets to check the schedules, the fares and other details of all trains", Worawut announced. According to the SRT acting governor, the new digital application should particularly facilitate a number of train passengers nationwide during the upcoming New Year Festival, including both Thai and foreign travellers who can immediately know the updated status of their scheduled trains by just providing their train No., or an arrival or a destination station. Besides, the content of the SRT's official website has been improved with expanding information on public services and on a connection with relevant parties involving in its procurement plans, based on the Government Website Standard and the US-initiated Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) 2017.
