Stamp released for 75th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of victory in the great patriotic war, Mongol Shuudan (Mongolian Post) JSC released a postage stamp featuring 'War Horses' monument. During the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War, the people of Mongolia sent half-a-million Mongolian horses to the Soviet Union. The monument with horses dragging an artillery gun, which symbolizes Mongolia’s invaluable aid during the war is a gift from the people of Mongolia to Russia for the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the Great Patriotic War, marked in 2015. The monument had been kept in the yard of the Mongolian Embassy in Moscow and it was placed in the Victory Park on the Poklonnaya Hill, Moscow, on May 4, 2017.
