State Commission set up as blast occurs at Defense Industry Ministry plant

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order setting up a State Commission after an explosion occurred earlier today at “Araz” plant of the Mınistry of Defense Industry in the city of Shirvan. Headed by deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, the commission will include a number of state officials. It will work to investigate the cause of the blast and eliminate its consequences. The Office of the Prosecutor General, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Emergency Situations will launch an investigation into the incident.
