Statistics of accidents and disasters

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first four months of this year, one thous. 760 disasters and accidents occurred. Due to them, 41 people died and 11,655 heads of livestock were lost. There were one thous.568 construction and 75 forest fires, 66 cases of rabies disease, and 13 cases of 3.5-magnitude earthquake. An estimated damage caused by the construction fires stood at 4.6 billion MNT, severe storms--52.0 million MNT, by forest fires-- 688.6 million MNT, and by rabies disease--47.6 million MNT. 32 people died in construction fires, six--in river and lake accidents, severe storms and mining and rock falls artisanal respectively 1 people died. The number of disasters and accidents went up by 205 against same period of 2013. A decrease in losses and deaths of livestock and animals was 219.9 thous.heads.
