Stranded Thai workers return home from Indonesia

BANGKOK, April 9 (TNA) - Nearly 70 stranded Thai workers in Indonesia have returned home safely. The Thai government had deployed a C-130 aircraft of the Royal Thai Air Force to pick up the 68 Thai workers, mostly from the Indonesian Ambon Island, to return home and they arrived at Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport on Thursday afternoon. The return trip of the Thai workers was successfully arranged with officials of the Thai Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Social Development and Human Security. The Thai military aircraft took off from Ambon Island on Thursday morning, carrying the 68 Thai workers, as well as 17 officials of the two Thai ministries, reporters and 22 Royal Thai Air Force officers. After their arrival at Don Mueang Airport, the Thai workers traveled to a labor assistance center under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security in Khlong Ha area of Bangkok's neighboring Pathum Thani Province.
