Study: Thai men face higher risk to develop Parkinson’s Disease

BANGKOK, March 10 (TNA) - A new study points that Thai men have higher risks of developing Parkinson’s Disease due to increasing trends of genetic disorders and exposure to chemical substances. The report, which was conducted between Chulalongkorn and Maharaj (มหาราษฎร์) Hospitals and Prince of Songkhla University, added that 74.3 percent of the Parkinson patients in Thailand also suffered from sleeping disorders that affected their quality of living. Noting that sleeping disorders could lead to other dangerous neurological symptoms, it warned that at present the degenerative disorder was no longer found only amongst the elderly but also in people as young as 35 years old.
