Success Made in Manufacturing Grid-connected Inverter

Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- The Electric Power Industry Research Institute in the DPRK succeeded in developing the new inversion technology of PV solar generating system. In this regard, Sin Myong Jin, a section chief of the institute, told KCNA: The success in developing the technology of making the grid-connected inverter brought about a fresh progress in harnessing solar energy. In the process of developing the inverter, the core element of the grid-connected system, a new operation was adopted to meet the actual conditions of the country, thus raising the efficiency of the inverter. Every factor of its interface was rationally configured and relevant software developed to put power control on a scientific basis and provide convenience. The new grid-connected inverter system has been introduced into different units, proving effective. With the help of this system, the Samcholli Lighting Appliances Factory produces enough electric power, not depending on hundreds of batteries, and has put myriads kWh of electricity into the state electric power system for six months. This is one of achievements made by the institute under the guidance of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who indicated the orientation and ways for actively harnessing the natural energy to meet the growing domestic demand for electricity.
