Supreme Environment Council CEO meets UNIDO Director General

Manama, July 23 (BNA): Chief Executive of the Supreme Environment Council Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dainah met with Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) LI Yong in his office in Vienna, Austrich, on the sidelines of the meetings related to Montreal Protocol to prepare for the organisation’s 50th anniversary next November. Dr. Bin Bainah thanked Li Yong for the good welcome, praising UNIDO’s effective role in carrying out the sustainable development projects and boosting cooperation with Bahrain. Both sides discussed issues of common interest and ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation mainly in the environment field. They also spotlighted preparations for UNIDO’s 50th anniversary which is set to be celebrated from November 21 to 25. Dr. Bin Dainah congratulated the organisation’s Director General on the occasion, wishing it further success in the industrial development and environment field. Li Yong welcomed Dr. bin Dainah, lauding his efforts in following up on environment issues and praising Bahrain’s progress at all levels. He pointed out that the celebration will shed light on Bahrain’s role in empowering women, adding that the organisation will publish a booklet on the main national and international contributions of Bahraini women.
