Supreme Leader, a guide for whole world: Pakistani Lawmaker

Islamabad, Sept 2, IRNA – A Pakistani parliamentarian on Saturday said that Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is a guide for the whole world. Talking to IRNA Senator Col(R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) congratulated Iran for holding a successful Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit. The political leader expressing his views said that the conference is a great success for Iran. “It was appreciated by all the countries especially by Arab states”, he said. The MQM leader said that Arab countries have now realized that Iran has a pivotal role in the region and Islamic world. The Senator added the conference gave a clear indication that leaders of Non Aligned world have trust in the capacity of Iran to deal with the international issues. He said that Iran has time and again proved that their policies are peaceful and based on friendship. “The conference gave great advantage to Iran because despite the propaganda of the US and its allies the leader of Non Aligned world traveled to Iran and witnessed by themselves the progress of Iran,” noted Tahir Hussain Mashhadi. The politician went on to say that the way conference was conducted is an example that how a meeting should be conducted. He said the conference was held peacefully and in most hospitable manner. “It is very well for NAM that this summit was organized in such a way,” added the lawmaker. Expressing his views over the meeting between Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad he said that their meeting is of tremendous importance. “Iran is our neighbor and we are tied in the eternal bond of friendship,” said the Senator. Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi viewed that such meetings are very important to bring peace, stability and economic development between the two countries and the region. He stressed for the early completion of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project. “This pipeline is of immense importance for the region,” opined the Parliamentarian. He said that Pakistan and Iran should enhance the volume of the bilateral trade. “We have the best of the relations rather we are one nation so our trade relation must be enhanced,” added the political leader. Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi said that Zardari’s meeting with Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is also very important because he is the guide for the whole world especially for the Muslim world. He added that President Zardari believes in bilateralism so these types of meetings are very important for both the countries.
