Survey shows parents are good model for love

BANGKOK, Feb 13 (TNA) -- A survey on an upcoming Valentine’s Day shows that to tell your lover by yours own words is the cheapest form of displaying love and the excellent model of love is love of parents followed by love of grandparents. The survey conducted jointly by the Culture Ministry and the Suan Dusit Poll on 3,779 people nationwide between January 7 – 27 on the Valentine’s Day which falls on Sunday this year shows 75.91 per cent of the total respondents agreed that to tell your lover of your love is cheapest. 74.95 per cent of the respondents said giving red flower is to show your love explicitly followed by telling your loved ones through an Internet, Facebook, Twitter or Skype 73.48 per cent and 71.79 per cent through telephone. Asked what form of love contains an excellent virtue, most of the respondents said to love with rationale or upholding customs and religions followed by inviting sweethearts or lovers to make good deeds and to love with limit without having sexual relations before marriage. Love of parents scored highest mark in the poll as 77.4 per cent agreed that it was a role model of love, followed by love of grandparents 14.47 per cent and love of actors and singers 3.94 per cent. Buying presents for parents is what most respondents wanted to do on the Valentine’s Day while most agreed that the best place to celebrate the occasion is at home. (TNA)
