Survey:Thai people were happier in second half of 2014

BANGKOK, March 18 (TNA) - A latest survey showed that Thai people were happier during the last six months of 2014, boosted by three factors, namely having good physical and mental health, more relaxing time and revenues. The survey was conducted by the Department of Mental Health, under the Thai Minister of Public Health, with the result publicly reported on Wednesday, marking the International Day of Happiness, which falls on every March 20, as designated by the Geneva-based World Health Organisation (WHO). The department's director-general, Jessada Chokdamrongsuk, told journalists that a world happiness in 2013 showed that Denmark was the happiest country in the world, while Thailand was ranked the 36th place on the world list but the 2nd in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), after Singapore. According to the senior official, Sing Buri in the central region was found to be the happiest Thai province last year, followed by Bueng Kan in the Thai Northeast, Lamphun in the Thai North, while Bangkok was ranked the 44th.
