Swiss, Italy, Thailand to become partnership

BANGKOK, November 27 (TNA) - Switzerland, Italy and Thailand have agreed to become business partnership, covering enhanced relations in the defence industry. The agreement was reached during meetings between Thai Deputy Defence Minister General Udomdej Sitabutr and top Swiss and Italian envoys in Bangkok on November 26. Thai Defence Ministry Spokesman Major General Khongcheep Tantrawanit told journalists that on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, General Udomdej first received Swiss Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Ivo Sieber at the Defence Ministry, during which both sides agreed to be trade and investment partners and cooperate on economic, political and cultural affairs, as well as tourism and national defence. According to the spokesman, General Udomdej later received Italian Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Francesco Saverio Nisio, during which they agreed to develop bilateral cooperation between Italy and Thailand on national defence and exchange of useful security information. (TNA)
