Switzerland’s Breitling Jet Team performs in Thailand

BANGKOK, March 23 (TNA) - Switzerland’s Breitling Jet Team performed a dazzling aerobatics display in Thai sky for the first time Saturday to celebrate the country’s Royal Thai Air Force Memorial Day on March 27 and the Royal Thai Air Force Day on April 29. Large crowds flocked to the Wing 6 of the Royal Thai Air Force in Don Mueang district to witness the breathtaking aerobatic performance by seven L-39 Albatros jets in the extremely hot weather. The airshow, which began with performances by Gripen and F-16 fighter jets of the Royal Thai Air Force, was also witnessed by Air Force Chief ACM Prachin Chantong and other top brass of the Royal Thai Army. During the airshow, the Breitling Jet Team performed challenging maneuvers such as the Apache Roll, the Opposite Barrel Roll and the Ocean Masterwave. The show finale ended with the team’s ‘Fairy Spirit’ maneuver, evoking big round of loud applause from the spectators. Thailand is the fifth stop of the Breitling Jet Team’s first South East Asia tour, which saw the team travelled through the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. (TNA)
