TAT launches Amazing Thailand Luxury campaign

BANGKOK, Nov 17 (TNA) -- The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the Amazing Thailand Luxury project, aiming to draw in more high income tourists to help stimulate domestic economy. Minister of Tourism and Sports Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul presided over the official opening ceremony of the Amazing Thailand Luxury event on Monday, where leading tourism companies from 41 countries worldwide have been invited to experience luxurious tourism products and services along the Bangkok-Chaing Rai-Chiang Mai-Phuket routes for a total of 1 week. During the tour, world-class tourism businesses and local Thai entrepreneurs would also be able to hold talks on future business partners, paving way for new and fresh markets. The ministry is confident that the Thai tourists destinations and tourism services have already gained high satisfaction among foreign visitors. The recent project would help to create a rare and luxurious image for Thai tourism among tourists with an annual income higher than $80,000 USD, targeted to increasing the number of such tourist arrivals from 25,000 this year to 30,000 in 2016. The minister pointed out that the higher number of hi-end tourists would guarantee the beauty and quality of Thai tourism to the rest of the world. (TNA)
