TAT organises "Thailand Tourism Festival 2013"

BANGKOK, June 6 (TNA) - The state-run Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is organising Thailand Tourism Festival 2013, themed "Falling in Love with Thailand, A Hub of Tourism Markets in AEC+6", aimed to promote the Thai tourism and Thailand as a regional tourism hub. Held at the Impact Trade and Exhibition Hall in Muang Thong Thani on the outskirts of Bangkok from June 5-9, the "Thailand Tourism Festival 2013" was inaugurated on Thursday morning with a ceremony presided over by Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Yukol Limlaemthong. International visitors are welcome to the five-day "Thailand Tourism Festival 2013" from 10am until 9pm, Thailand's time, during which participating booths showcase and introduce tourism attractions in all five Thai regions, including the northern, the northeastern, the central, the eastern and the southern regions. The Thai tourist attractions, displayed at the participating booths, also include local food, handicraft and other products. The TAT-sponsored "Thailand Tourism Festival 2013" is particularly aimed at promoting the Thai tourism among travellers from six dialogue partners of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in which Thailand is a member, including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and India, in the lead-up to the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), set to be formed by 2015.
