TAT, Thai AirAsia join hands to promote tourism

BANGKOK, February 20 (TNA) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thai AirAsia have jointly launched a campaign to stimulate tourism in the Thai North, Northeast and South, with a starting air fare of 555 baht. TAT Governor Thawatchai Arunyik, told journalists on Thursday that the newly-introduced campaign, available from February–June 2014, is aimed to boost domestic tourism among frequent and potential travelers, focused on the three regions. Thawatchai said the campaign is expected to help boost more than 40,000 tourists in the three Thai regions, with over 305 million baht tourism-related revenues generated. Tassapon Bijleveld, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia, noted that the promotional packages for this campaign, starting from 555 baht, will be available for booking on the www.airasia.com website until February 23, 2014 for travels from February 20–June 30, 2014.(TNA)
