Tavan Tolgoi negotiations continue

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The government's working group, headed by the Minister M.Enkhsaikhan and in charge of the Tavan tolgoi project's negotiations, held a meeting with the investors on April 2. It coincided with the first day of the Mongolian Economic Forum. The sides ran a closed meeting. A joint consortium of Energy Resource LLC, Sumitomo Corporation and China Shenhua Energy Coporation has been selected as the strategic investor for the Tavan tolgoi project. The working group launched the negotiations with the consortium on the first working day of 2015, January 5. The negotiations have had a break regarding an issue of the loan agreement between the Government and China’s state-owned “Chalco” company.
