Taxpayers requested to submit forms through internet after Jan 10

BANGKOK, Dec 27 (TNA) - Taxpayers have been requested to submit tax clearance forms for income earned during 2015 through an internet system, starting from next January 10, said Prasong Poontaneat, director-general of Finance Ministry’s Revenue Department. People normally could file tax clearance forms with the department from January 1 onwards for income earned during the previous year. However, after the government has offered the New Year's tax reduction, Mr. Prasong said his department would have to adjust its system for taxpayers. Mr. Prasong said he expected that taxpayers would file tax forms through the internet system by as much as 80 per cent , 10 per cent higher than that last year. Meanwhile, the Revenue Department plans to set up more tax refund service to facilitate foreign tourists, said Mr. Prasong. Currently, there are 7,077 tax refund branches for foreign tourists throughout Thailand. (TNA)
