Tea Banh:No Cambodian soldiers involve in Thailand's protests

BANGKOK, February 11 (TNA) - Cambodia has confirmed that no Cambodian soldiers having involved in ongoing political protests in Thailand. Colonel Papathip Sawangsaeng, Spokesman of the Thai Ministry of Defence, told journalists on Tuesday that Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense General Tea Banh made the assurance when he met Thailand's Caretaker Deputy Defence Minister General Yuthasak Sasiprapa in Singapore, where both of them attended Singapore Airshow 2014, set from February 11-16. According to the spokesman, General Tea Banh insisted that no Cambodian troops have involved in political disturbance in Thailand, as stated in recent media reports. General Tea Banh vowed that any Cambodian soldier found to have involved in Thailand's political protests would be decisively punished in order to maintain long-time relations between Thailand and Cambodia. The spokesman acknowledged that no Cambodian soldiers have been found by Thai police investigators to have involved in Thailand's three-month political protests so far.(TNA)
