Tehran center to display lithographs by Mexican artist

TEHRAN,May 29(MNA) – A collection of lithographic works by the Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada is scheduled to be put on show in an exhibit, which will open at Tehran’s Resaneh Cultural Center on tomorrow. A total of 50 works will be showcased at the exhibition, which will run until June 12. The show has been organized by the Iranian House of Cartoon and the Embassy of Mexico in Tehran. José Guadalupe Posada (1852–1913) was a Mexican cartoonist illustrator and artist whose work has influenced many Latin American artists and cartoonists because of its satirical acuteness and political engagement. The Resaneh Cultural Center is located on Qaba Sq, Nateq-e Nuri St., off Gol Nabi Ave, in the Pasdaran District.
