Tehran center to host Japanese cultural festival

TEHRAN,Oct.22(MNA) -- Tehran’s Arasbaran Cultural Center will be playing host to a Japanese cultural festival, which will open on October 25. The three-day festival has been organized by the Japanese Embassy in Tehran and the Art and Cultural Organization of the Tehran Municipality, the Center announced in a press release on Saturday. A number of Japanese musicians are scheduled to perform concerts of Iranian and Japanese music. The Japanese tea ceremony, the Japanese art of flower arrangement and martial art performances are among the programs will be held during the festival. Exhibitions of photos of Japanese attractions, calligraphy works, handicrafts and Japanese traditional toys have also been organized for the event. In addition, groups of Japanese artists will hold workshops on origami, Japanese calligraphy, manga -- Japanese graphic novel, and Japanese cuisine. Children of visitors will have a chance to have their photos taken in a kimono at an atelier during the festival. The center is located on Arasbaran St. in the Seyyed Khandan neighborhood.
