Tehran center to review “Forrest Gump”

TEHRAN,Nov.4(MNA) – “Forrest Gump”, the acclaimed 1994 film by American director Robert Zemecki, will be reviewed at the Iranian Fiction Foundation in Tehran on Tuesday. The movie is based on “Forrest Gump”, a novel written by the American author Winston Groom in 1986. The title character in the novel views the world simply and truthfully. Literati and critics including Mohammad Gozarabadi, Majid Aqaeii and Mazda Morad-Abbasi will discuss the subject of adaptation after a screening of the film at the foundation. The movie “Forrest Gump” depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, a naive and slow-witted yet athletically prodigious native of Alabama who witnesses, and in some cases influences, some of the defining events of the latter half of the 20th century in the United States.
