Tehran to host Marco D’Amico’s workshops on lighting in theater

TEHRAN,Jan.21(MNA) -- Italian artist Marco D’Amico will hold a number of workshops next week at the Faculty of Performing Arts of the University of Tehran. The three-day workshops, which have been organized by the 31st Fajr International Theater Festival, will open on January 26, the secretary of the workshops Shiva Masudi announced in a press release on Sunday. Phenomenology of light, technical equipment in lighting, the role of equipment for innovation in lighting, and several other subjects will be discussed during the workshops. A multifaceted underground artist, D’Amico has created dozens of graffiti murals in streets around the world. Considering art a free form of expression and communication, he believes it should be made available for all to enjoy… regardless of the medium. D’Amico holds a degree in visual communications from Milan's ITSOS and has been working in show business since 1987. He is currently the technical director and lighting designer for the Tarmeh and Alma Rosé theatrical companies.
