Tehran photo exhibit highlights Latin American cultural heritage

TEHRAN,Oct.30(MNA) – An exhibition of photos featuring landscapes, people, traditions and historical sites of Latin American countries is underway in the Majlis Library, Museum and Documentation Center in Tehran. Director of the museum Mohammad Rajabi, Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Chairman Alaeddin Borujerdi and a number of diplomats from the embassies of Mexico, Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador and Spain attended the opening ceremony on Monday. Over 30 photos by photographers from Mexico, Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador and Spain have been put on display at the exhibit entitled “Latin American Countries’ Common Cultural Heritage through Photos”. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Borujerdi said that art is an international language and artists are the individuals who narrate the cultural heritage of their countries through this international language. Mexican charge d’affaires in Iran Martin Torres also made a brief speech at the ceremony and called the exhibit a good opportunity to familiarize the Iranian people with the culture of Latin American countries. The exhibit will be running until Thursday at the museum located in the Baharestan neighborhood.
