Tehranis Produce 7,200 Tons Of Garbage A Day

Tehran, Oct 30, IRNA – Some 7,200 tons of garbage is produced in Tehran a day, Deputy Tehran Mayor for Urban Services, Mojtaba Abdollahi, said on Monday. He made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony to inaugurate projects handled by the Garbage Removal and Sewage Treatment Organization affiliated to Tehran Municipality. Abdollahi told reporters that the organization is capable of recycling 7,800 tons of garbage a day. He said the project costs more than 220 billion rials a year./end
