Temperature drops in several regions

BANGKOK, Feb 11 (TNA) - The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has warned of fluctuating weather in Thailand, while the northern Buriram province has seen immediate decline in temperature by 3 degrees Celsius in one day. The public are advised to take good care of their health and to beware of respiratory diseases. The announcement said an intense high pressure area from China has moved to cover the northeastern, central, and eastern regions of the country, causing temperature in the north to drop by 4-6 degrees Celsius between February 11-14. The weather department further informed that the northeaster monsoon which is hovering over the Gulf of Thailand is also intensifying and would cause more rainfalls today and tomorrow in southern provinces. The department has warned small boats to stay ashore starting today until February 16. (TNA)
